We have illuminated back-lit Taxi Top Signs available for your Company's Ad.

Additionally, we have sign space available inside the vessel for vieweing by our passengers.

Meet our Crew

Captain Shaun Squyres is joined by Captain Mike, Captain Peter, and Captain Charlie. All captains are licensed by the USCG and have varied experiences from Law Enforcement, Military, Diving, Salvage, and the Commercial Towing Industry. 1st Mate Nicholas handles the ropes while Mrs. Squyres keep the operation running smoothly. Our goal is to make sure your experience is a memorable and enjoyable one.

Water-Taxi Downtown Norfolk & Portsmouth Virginia

Squyres Marine Services Inc. has been operating the Water-Taxi "Loose Cannon" in the Downtown Norfolk-Portsmouth area of the Elizabeth River since 2003.
The Water Taxi provides seasonal service on Friday and Saturday Evenings from 5 p. m. until 1 a.m.

The Fare is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.

We also offer a 20 Minute tour of the Downtown harbor for $10 for each adult $5 for children.

We operate additional hours during special events and holiday weekends. A second Water-Taxi "Cannonball" has been added to facilitate the heavy traffic during special events.

The Water-Taxi "Loose Cannon" was built by Captain Shaun Squyres & son's from plans by Selway-Fisher in the UK.

The vessels are powered by environmentally friendly 4-stroke outboard motors by Honda & Yamaha. Motors provided by Norfolk Marine Inc.
